Tips & Advice
- Dress in warm layers, including hats and gloves, as winter weather in Blacksmith Fork Canyon can be quite cold, even on sunny days.
- Arrive early, especially on weekends, as tickets are sold in-person and rides are on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Consider bringing binoculars to get a closer look at the elk and other wildlife you might encounter during your sleigh ride.
- Check the weather and road conditions before your trip, as snowstorms can make the drive through the canyon challenging.
- Take advantage of the free family activities and the 'All About Elk' exhibit at the Education Center before or after your sleigh ride.
