Tips & Advice

  • Dress in warm layers, as the canyon can become very cold and windy at night during winter. Consider bringing a blanket for extra comfort.
  • Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time to allow ample time for parking and boarding, especially if you have a large vehicle or require ADA parking.
  • If you have specific accessibility needs, contact Niles Canyon Railway in advance to discuss the available accommodations on the 'Open' cars.
  • Bring a small flashlight to help you navigate safely between the train and the platform, particularly during evening departures.
  • Since seating inside the train is not guaranteed, consider booking First Class Dome/Parlor tickets for a more comfortable and scenic experience.
