Practical Information
Parking
If arriving by car, you can park close to the museum. Signs will guide you. There are four spaces reserved for disabled parking directly at the main entrance. You can purchase a parking ticket at reception (remember registration number) or via the EasyPark app. A parking ticket costs 40 DKK and is valid for five hours. In collaboration with Clever, they have established four charging stations, so you can charge your car while visiting the museum, taking a walk in the bog, or enjoying lunch at Restaurant Holmegaard. Standard rules and terms for parking spaces with charging stations apply.
Accessibility
Guests with mobility issues or disabilities can drive through the gate and park directly in front of the main entrance in designated disabled parking spots. From there, there is direct access to the museum without stairs or other inconvenient level differences. Inside, they have ensured ease of access for wheelchair users, those with mobility issues, and guests with strollers to navigate all exhibitions. There are no high thresholds or stairs to overcome for a good experience. Most exhibitions are on the same level, except for the large Sample Collection with 40,000 glasses and the Stone Age exhibition, which require a short trip with a lift. The arrival hall has accessible toilets and access to the café and museum shop – here too, they have removed obstacles for four-wheeled visitors.

Tips & Advice
- Arrive early on market days to experience the full atmosphere and browse the 120 stands before they become too crowded.

- Consider visiting on a weekday if possible to enjoy a more relaxed browsing experience with fewer crowds.
- Check the schedule for specific times of the live glassblowing demonstrations to ensure you don't miss the impressive creation of the giant glass Santa.
- Dress warmly in layers, as parts of the market may be outdoors or in unheated spaces, even though the venue is a former glassworks.
