ChristmasLocal.com is powered by 20 years of event publishing experience. Before building the Holiday Events Network, founder Mike Michaels published Big Weekend Calendars — wall calendars featuring local events that sold nationally through Costco, HEB, Randalls, and other major retailers, with hundreds of thousands of copies sold over two decades.
This experience — curating and publishing local happenings at scale — laid the foundation for building a digital platform that combines cutting-edge AI with real-world knowledge of event publishing.

About the Founder
Mike Michaels
Entrepreneur & IRL Experience Designer
Mike Michaels is an entrepreneur and IRL experience designer based in Austin, Texas. He founded the Holiday Events Network after two decades of publishing local event calendars sold in major retailers like Costco, HEB, and Randalls.
His work on large-scale holiday event discovery has been covered by the BBC, Redfin, TheTravel.com, and Wanderlog.
Beyond holiday projects, Mike also created the interactive Eureka! Room and published event calendars in national retailers. His creative work has been featured in the Austin Chronicle, Austin American-Statesman, KXAN (NBC), and No Proscenium.
